Thanks to the love and dedication of the Myers Family of the Myers Family Print Shoppe, the palette project has been a unique part of the Vandergrift Artfest for many years. In recent years, the Vandergrift Improvement Program and Artfest Team has taken on the implementation of the project. Twenty-five large palettes, painted by local artists, will line the streets of Vandergrift in July, August, and early September. Each palette is sponsored by a business or community member, helping to make the project possible. New this year, we will be using the palette project to raise funds to provide a scholarship to a local student studying a form of art at the college or technical school level. At the conclusion of Artfest, an online auction will raise funds for the scholarship through the sale of the palettes. We’ve had many requests over the years to purchase the palettes so we are excited to raise funds for a good cause while making this possible.
